ニューヨークの旅

I went to New York.I have seen art museums and galleries. I spent 3 days.

ニューヨークで美術館やギャラリーを観てきました。現地では丸３日間過ごしました。

高層ビルもスゴイですが、古い石造りの建物が美しい。

In Chelsea area, there were large galleries next to each other.

チェルシーという地区では、大きなギャラリーが隣接。

Most of the work was big and impacted and sensational.

ほとんどの作品は、大きくてインパクトがあり、センセーショナル。

I was surprised that many people came to any gallery.

どのギャラリーにもたくさんの人が来ていることに驚く。

In The Metropolitan Museum of Art,there were a lot of pictures of the master.

メトロポリタン美術館では、たくさんの巨匠の絵を拝む。

フェルメール

思いがけず、アメリカ美術の1900年前後の風景画に惹かれる。

色、構図、空気感に共感。

アメリカの画家も、自然を見つめて多くを感じとっていたことを思う。

抽象表現への予感も感じる。

分厚く何度も塗り重ねられている。

“睡蓮の池に映る雲の反映”というタイトルを帰国後知る。

I was able to show the power of one picture from masters.

Supporting that is a quest to be foolish.

That is what I aim for.

巨匠たちから、一枚の絵の力を見せつけられる。

それを支えるのは愚直なまでの探求と受け取った。

自分が目指すのはそこである。
